There's Not Much Difference Between A Rut And A Grave

Another weekend rolls up - what a stressful week!! Thank the lord I get to

a) party
b) lie in bed
c) sell soap

It will be excellent.

I am specially excited just to NOT BE IN AN OFFICE which can be grating to the nerves, also I get to spend time in my new home WITHOUT THE AUSTRIANS, although am also really missing them.

Click'n'Play

Isn't life like one of those interactive computer games? Like, you need your train pass to leave the station. You must have keys to open the door. To see into the room you must turn on the light?

But I suppose these games are based on real life which must be why they're so similar eh?!

The Black Chopper Cries!

Whatever happened to Number One Cup?

Apple cider, sweet & brown!
Apple cider, knocks you down!
Apple cider, with a kick as you go!
Apple cider - it's a definate no!

Wise words indeed from this sadly absent Chicago four piece.

*sigh*

Can't Stop The Rock

Last night restored my faith in human nature! It was all off to White Heat to take pictures for CX London and Terratag. It was all fun fun fun! The ever excellent Paul Terratg took the snaps and Davo and I posed like pissed up divas. The CX London stuff will be up as part of a CX @ White Heat feature on Coolgrrrls.com very soon.

Two bottles for the price of one is pure evil!

It was also cool cos I introduced one of my favourite people Matty to another of my favourite people Paul Terratag. They both love Japanese culture and anime so I knew they would have stuff in common. I think Matty liked Paul's tshirts too. I love it when a plan comes together!

Jack, Pete and Marcus turned up too which is cool cos Marcus was drinking!! (This never ever happens!).

I seemed to care less if Jackie & Pete made flippant comments this time cos now we're just mates. You can just brush it off.
I don't know if they don't think when they speak or whether its cos that's how they all talk to each other? I only just figured out that I don't have to deal it so equal "Doh me!" and "Yay me!"

Marcus totally rules, he has never ever done anything harsh or been evil or been anything other than the perfect gentleman ever. If Marcus had a cheerleading squad I would so go for tryouts!!

Anyway - things to do and lunch is nearly over! Need to nurse my hangover!!

Laters 'taters!

Life's Harsh Lessons

All I can say dudes is when a band you work with get a Radio One play and don't tell you - then they may not want to work with you...!!

Cloak & Dagger is the new black it seems - I may open a pub called "Ye Cloak & Dagger" - but it's all cool dudes...you cannot work with a band if they're not confident in you. That's why I don't do contracts. There's no point working together when you're gritting your teeth to get through the day.

Having said this though, I can admit to feeling slightly piqued, as whispers about Alan McGee started as far back as three weeks? That's kinda sucktastic if its true.

Also I must admit I breathe a deep sigh of relief when I realise I do not have to walk into a room with Mr Ignorey Man (my ex!!) ever again unless he's at the same club as me in which case I generally have a ton of buddies around anyways.

The Souls will most def be famous and on the cover of the NME...I have no doubt...I just won't be standing behind the cameraman smiling like a loon and someone else will. So my goal will be achieved, just someone else will have done it. It's all very zen and cyclic.

The World Won't Stop Without You!

It should, of course, be about whether I am happy, and not whether you can appease the beast that is a band that wants to be signed now!. Although that's pretty much what every band does want. So you sacrifice (and excuse the pun here) a little bit of your soul everytime.

This is a blog all about my experiences in Retail. As a retail support manager for a UK retail company I despair of the lack of customer service that is endemic everywhere I seem to shop, and I have plenty of opinions on this subject too!
