We got SURFEROSA playing White Heat on the 30th March, and Matty is proud of me. Also the line up on 23rd March will be killer - KING ADORA/THE VAULTS/THE SEASONS, with JO APPS DJing in the downstairs room.

Its just hard trying to get killer support bands for these shows. But also nice choosing them cos they like to play with acts who get more people to see them and more press and stuff. Mixed blessing :)

My friend Paul is in love!! And it's amazing and funny and cool and I am way happy for him! It's funny cos he acts all the "man" and then I discover he is as melty eyed and cute as a little puppy and it makes me wanna go "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" and cuddle him and ruffle his hair.

Four In A Bed Stylee!!

Had a fantastic night out on Saturday - my household headed down to Shoreditch to meet buddies and the turnout was pleasurably astonishing. We had, myself Mark, Tristan, Sean and Bianca, and arrived at The Great Estern Dining Rooms to meet Susie, Beaz & Lauren, Lara and Ed, Jock Tristan and Fran, and Alex Tea and the unimitable Olympia Dior. The drink prices were not extortionate which surprised me as I regard "East London" as the home of terminally groovy and was expecting prices to reflect as much.

I presented the lovely Susie with her birthday gift, which was an encyclopedia of rock'n'roll bands. I warned her that it was heavy cos there is pretty much every single band you can think of in there. (No Skyclad however as pointed out by Tristan!!).

There were FOURTEEN of us in all. It was wicked in that everyone was having fun, not so good in trying to tour guide everyone to the same place after The Great Estern Dining Rooms . We ended up in a "one in one out" queue to a venue called Catch and after discussion the group fragmented. The hardcore (me, Alex Tea, Mark, Tristan and Sean & Bianca) ended up at Alex Tea's bodacious apartment which defies all description except to say I WAS SO JEALOUS I WANTED TO LIVE THERE!!!

Needless to say, Sean collapsed after half a glass of sherry leaving Bianca disoriented and me and the boys giggling. Last thing I remember is crashing out in bed with Mark later to be joined by Alex & Tristan. Alex & Mark had an eventful night with boyish cuddling going on by all accounts!!! WHY didn't I wake to witness this?! Argh!

Woken at 8.15am by the nasally strains of "Civil War" blasting out, Mark got up in a huff and staggered off to sleep on the floor somewhere random away from us. We found him in boxers and hooded top (hood up) lying on the kitchen floor later.

The next day was spent pleasurably watching Hawk The Slayer, original He Man episodes (and commentaries) and Columbo interspersed with pizza gorging and communal napping. A lovely lovely Sunday. Thanks to all who came out and especially to Alex Tea for his genial hospitality.
