You are probably waiting to hear what exciting twists and turns my life have taken since yesterday as I have now become "mega exciting woman who once met Vernon Kaye and had flirty banter with him" and I don't mean to disappoint!!

So, yesterday trusty Tristan and I went to our first dancing lesson! We gatecrashed a salsa class in Ealing and learned to mambo and rumba and merengue and lots of other exciting things. We had to line up and swap partners (ooer!) as there weren't enough men. (Let me just add that Mark aka Little Bear HAD accompanied us to the lesson, but had purposefully worn flip flops so as to be unable to take part!) As we worked down the line we learned different steps.

Some of the guys were less than desirable, and a few of them were actively sweaty so that was unpleasant when you had to get close, but the teacher was really good, broke down the steps so you could do them simply and easily and he told you history of the steps and different dances as he went along. I really enjoyed it and Tristan and I will definitley be going back next week.

When we got home I gave my feet a lovely Volcano mask and then lashings of Fair Trade Foot Lotion to take away the achiness, and then I persuaded Mark to massage my legs which were shaking after all the effort with Each Peach and it all got very slippery and messy and very fun and then we fell asleep. :)

I have also decided to start Wu Shu Kwan again. I used to be a maroon belt with a six pack and flexibility you would not believe but that was four years ago, so after my holiday I'll start going every Thursday night and will be training with Mr Chang, the head of the organisation. I hope I can handle it!

Finally, I cracked recently and bought a Top Up TV card - this means we get to watch E4! Other channels we will have beamed to our house will include UKTV Gold, Turner Classic Movies (TCM), Boomerang, Cartoon Network, Bloomberg, UKTV Style, Discovery Channel, Discovery Home & Leisure & UKTV Food. I shall report on all these channels as I watch and asess them. Needless to say, all I want to watch is me being kissed by Vernon.

Laters potatoes!

Beauty tip for the day

Get rid of stained nails. Using darker polish colors can turn your nails yellow. Prevent this by always using a good basecoat. Fresh out? Use your topcoat as both. Nails already stained? Soak your bare nails in a bowl of warm water and a few drops (and we mean it, a few drops) of lemon juice or Clorox bleach.
Thanks to for this; I wondered and WONDERED why there were no Big Brother psychology shows (they have always been my favourites) and this is what Popbitch type gossip emailer Holy Moly has to say on it.

Also, ever wondered why the shows have struggled to get the usual amount of psychoanalysis on air?
It's because producers ignored much of the advice given to them by the shrinks and chose people that they did not think were mentally stable enough to handle being inside the house.

The shrinks have been boycotting the show.

Who'd have thunk it!

Who is Holy Moly? It's like Who is Belle Du Jour all over again.
I'm such a spod. bought four tickets for BRMC/The Stills/The Rapture
and Kasabian and now realised I will be away on a camping holiday!

DOH!

If any of you know anyone who'd wanna buy these beauties I stuck all four of em on Ebay - bidding starts at £2 for all four!!

You may need to copy and paste this link, I can't get html to do its thing today!
