I spent some money on Ebay buying the Bear a sexy cologne called Mambo by Liz Claiborne, it was a helluva kerfuffle cos you can't get it in the UK.

Today I ate fruit for the first time in ages thanks to Sophie who brought me two gorgeous nectarines and some strawberries from the market today. My body has been taken by surprise it would be fair to say!

One of the nightmare things about LiveJournal is the amount of book recommendations you see. I still need to buy The Red Tent and Howling At The Moon but today after seeing Ricky Gervais' stand up, took me to Borders and I indulged in a book buying spree....!

The "Pretty Things": Growing Old Disgracefully - research for a book I'm working on.

Robot Visions - I love Asimov...haven't seen I, Robot yet, I think I bought this book so I can solace myself with it if Will Smith has destroyed all semblence of his story.

Cider with Roadies - A book written about the music industry thru the eyes of Stuart Maconie, I got this one cos music's what I do...kinda!



In case you were wondering Ricky Gervais rocked :) the bar served white wine in pint plastic beakers and I felt pretty blitzed. I'm sure it'll all come back to me!

Oops, I forgot to mention, Mark & I decided on a medieval styled wedding reception.

Last night I watched The Vaults at the Monarch and lots of cool friends came too, after the gig, we went to Bartok and wondered whether it was a gay bar or just full of men.

My hair smells GORGEOUS today cos I washed it in Flying Fox shower gel which smells of a jasmine garden at night dipped in honey with wafts of ylang ylang. It's VERY aphrodisiacal (<--- made up word) and its made my hair all soft and strokeable. I feel like a little sex kitten, but the Bear is off on tour again tonight so no one will get the benefit!

Lara has gone away to Italy for two weeks, what shall I do without her to chat to through my dull days? Also she keeps kicking my ass when my blog updating gets slack.

I recently offered to procure Reading Festival tickets for my estranged and long suffering ex. Initially, his Swedish girlfriend responded positively to my text messages saying yes please, but then changed their minds and decided no matter what bribery I proffered, my ex shall not break his resolve to never speak to me again. In other news he has now apparently taken up painting.
