Tis the eve of Reading Festival and I am SO EXCITED!

This shall be the first festival that I can enjoy without worrying whether one boy will see me in a tent with another boy or having to go and sell myself or a band!

Looking forward to a holiday stylee festival! See you in the mudslide!!
This short verse sums up my thoughts today.

Mark Keds is in my boss' office!
READING Festival organisers are warning fans to bring their wet weather gear after TEN TIMES as much rain as usual fell on the site in recent days. Because many of the car parks are under water, they’re also advising visitors not to travel by car.

...Oh shit..
Soulwax last night was a blast. I was MEGA excited and went with some really cool people as well a The Bear who hadn't seen them before.

Thanks to scaremongering by Masterbuilder, we arrived for 8.30pm and they finally took to the stage at around 9pm, and came off approximately 40 minutes later! What a crock! I was jubilant that I was seeing my favourite band and dancing like a catnipped kitten with a new ball o'wool, but when they finished so early I felt like a deflated balloon. One minute floating high in the sky over a Mediterranean sea, the next devoid of helium and hanging undignified from a gnarled olive tree with goats reaching up to try and chew at my dangling ribbon.

I am wondering whether to try and get my money back for the tickets which cost £12.50 each plus booking fee... What do you think fellow readers, have any of you done this before or had a result. I essentially paid £12.50 to see 8 or 9 songs and no support band. Was very strange leaving the house at 8pm and getting home for 10.30.

Soulwax however rocked my world. Their songs just hit you like BLAM! and a mighty surge of adrenaline before teasing you into moderated dancing before another mighty HIT! and raising your spirits and heart into dancing like a motherfucker dying on a speedball. Long live Soulwax. Longer may they play in the future! Roll on Reading 2004!

QUICK TIP: If you lose a shoe in a mosh pit at a gig, wait until the end and then go to the front of the auditorium. Roadies put any lost shoes on display on the front of the stage so you can reclaim your missing footwear.
I woke up this morning double whipped excited with the Christmas morning feeling!

Soulwax are playing tonight!! Yeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaa!! (<--said in Dukes of Hazzard stylee). Soulwax are my favourite band and I shall be meeting up with and company as well as The Bear! Much fun shall be had, and perhaps even a little dance at White Heat later? Hmm, maybe not. Should be saving my strength for READING FESTIVAL!!!

Today that ovaries-seizing-and-shaking-and-fur-gloved-hand-stroking-sensitive-bodyparts fragrance Mambo arrived for The Bear. I can't wait for him to wear it! It's sssssooooooooooo sexy and so exclusive cos you can't get it over here. Fingers crossed that he likes it!

I am loving Last.fm! It has learnt my tastes sufficiently to play me Angry Chair by Alice in Chains followed by France Gall with Poupee De Cire, Poupee De Son then that tune Up, Up and Awa-aa-ay in my Beautiful Balloon! followed by Foxy Lady. There was a brief blip when it tried to play me Autreche bleurgh which I soon skipped for Hey Stupid! by Alice Cooper. I am currently listening to the serene sounds of Elspeth of Nottingham by Focus. Life is good!

Here's a tip, DON'T go and see Open Water. It's scary with sharks and depressing. Unless you're the kind of person who enjoyed Phone Booth. Stay at home!

Boooooooooooo!!!!

Thank goodness I aint camping!

Yay! My boss has said I can have this Friday off for Reading Festival! Whoop-de-do!! He is happy with me because we have nearly completed his Autobiography and we are already getting calls from agents and publishing houses!

I had a lovely weekend and went to Osterly Park on Sunday. We ate tea and cakes and wandered around the grounds and lay in the grass looking up at the sky and stuff.

On Friday I was on the TV with Vernon. Just watching it reminds me of how shaky my legs went when I got up to stand opposite the gorgeous Mr Kaye. They cut out all the funny things I said though. Now there's a surprise!

This is a blog all about my experiences in Retail. As a retail support manager for a UK retail company I despair of the lack of customer service that is endemic everywhere I seem to shop, and I have plenty of opinions on this subject too!
